In the past, sheets of metal for siding, cladding and roofing were attached with simple nails. As building so constructed age, the wear tells on this inferior method of attachment, and the metal sheets work loose. We can replace any old nails with the more durable screw-nail, which grips the beam much more tightly, and prevents the cladding’s working loose. We always use screw-nails for attaching any new metal cladding.
